Looking on the radar this is huge..!! Flooding guaranteed and frequent lightning for sure.

NW 5min radar

Just had the heaviest rain i've ever experienced in this country, with hail too, absolutely awesome!!

Lightning and instant thunder to follow it's right above us!!!

I have my eye on what is down south, just light showers from spread out clouds at the moment.

Keeping an eye on that cell in N.Wales,, round Corwen. Good few miles out but seems to be kinda tracking in the right direction. Fingers crossed!

rather mature cell to my south now. expecting to hear thunder from it soon. rotation evident in the small developing cell above.

edit: since then two rumbles one from north one south. very infrequent though and now very still!

A lot of heavy rain but again, only a couple of rumbles and one slight flicker of lightning. Looking at the radar, it did exactly the same as yesterday...it got going for about one radar frame just south of Stourbridge and then instantly started to die again as it came over. The rain was a lot heavier than yesterday though.

Was a tiny bit better than yesterday..the distant rumbles were louder today and I didn't see any lightning yesterday. If we keep going at this pace we may reach a full blown thunderstorm by December!

Yep. Apart from 28th June this year has been shocking. Everywhere else has had so many storms. :(

Tyne & Wear is competing with Lincolnshire and southern Scotland as storm capital of Britain this year I think.

I got rain and a distant rumble of thunder, so I didn't have it !

Infact sun came out, the barbecue went on rolleyes.gif and I thought that may have brought something my way

looks like that storm has been chasing me up the motorway!...It's about 10 miles south of my front door...might just pass to my east, but should hear some thunder from it shortly
