yeah, huytons a safe enough distace away from the wigan storm shredder, but st helens is a bit too close for comfort to it so you will be lucky if you get anything there, ,its tentacles are reaching out atm on full alert for any storm trying to break through itlaugh.png

It all seems a bit quiet here this afternoon. All the activity seems to be out west and north today. Hope that stuff over Devon and Cornwall can make its way northwards like yesterday.

Constant thunder to my south but only seen once flash of lightning so far. Someone not far away must be getting a good show

Pitch black towards Stockport/Manchester way, with TCu/CBs all around. Had a few rumbles of thunder a hour ago but it's moved off to the north now.

Same thing has happened that happened yesterday showers close by have left this area in a deep layer of high cloud, looks like game over for here today.

Two huge flashes of fork lightning and gunshot thunder in Oswestry- bizarrely half an hour apart! Nothing like yesterdays Armageddon with 16.2mm rain, marble sized hail and constant thunder and lightning for an hour. Come OOONN!

Literally can't believe how fast my garden flooded, last time it took at least an hour but its flooded within 10 minutes today,

Love the British Weather!

That photo shows how good if albeit fairly brief the size of the hail we had, considering we don't get that all much convective activity up here, i was rather impressed with today's storm! Thunder and lightning was more overhead than the last storm and I think the strikes were more frequent in today's storm.

Wow! 2 Epic storms in one summer, makes up for the poor winter snowfall we had up here for sure!

I was at the knowsley flower show earlier and got caught in that storm, quite intense for a few moments and flooded the park. Currrently clouds building again and going very dark to my south.

It has gone very very dark and still here...Thunder now and then, but generally a weird kind of stillness, with a sense of something is going to kick off any moment.
