Raining heavily in the center of MK now, main storm is to the NW, but more thunder heard from the south, another cell forming to the SE of the main storm I think.

Just been for a tour and I have to say it's turning out to be hugely disappointing here today. Hoping for something late afternoon

Lol, yes i have spent a lot of money on petrol this summer - yesterday was around £35 in total, just to hear a few rumbles. BBC forecast on N24 showed lots of blobs over me this afternoon and even more so just to my north and east. Maybe i wasn't far off when i was thinking somewhere like York.

yes dont make the same mistake of coming into the north west storm void,

this morning looked promising, huge columns of vigorous excited convection nearby like ash plumes from a huge volcano, but as they approached the wigan force field they got quashed into just messy looking clouds, poor things cray.gif , they would have turned into good 'bonny' storms in the east

Near gravesend here, can see the cells passing either side of where i am,heading over into Essex. Had some big raindrops but no thunder/lightning yet,but the way things look like developing today i`d be suprised if we don`t get a direct hit at some point today. :)

The storm tracking north from Basildon is getting more electrified, good luck to those in its path

That looks a beast that one, was hoping that would do an inward draw towards Cambs, but looks like progressing more NNE now.

It seems to be back building, Not sure if the tail end will hit here but the AM radio is going mental with at least 10 strikes per minute!

Sounds wicked ! That one over MK/Northaptonshire looking more likely to hit us.

Another astonishingly heavy burst of rain. Could be flooding around the town in general if this keeps up

Cell has exploded to the south of me thunder is becoming more frequent now but will not have time to intensify enough to be spectacular until it passes over me.

Nothing in Clevedon so far. Journey down was wet though, heavy rain which has now cleared to the North, and flooded roads.

Had a flash and a couple of rumbles back in Bristol. Sun has made an appearance now which should hopefully get things started for this afternoon.
