Some very heavy rain possibly clipping Kent within the next couple of hours looking at the radar.

Otherwise, its a case of watching developments over Biscay to see whats heading for us overnight.

"Typhoon John lasted 31 days as it traveled both the Northeast and Northwest Pacific basins during August and September 1994"

Blimey, well there's the answer to my question...Nadine has far to go!

Quiet a bit of thundery activity associated with the depression on its southern flank , over Biscay and into France

A look at the latest (18z) satellite analysis - Lots of lightening strikes along the cold front and you'll also notice Miss Nadine spinning back up to TS status.

post-9615-0-07032700-1348426671_thumb.gi Very heavy PPN heading into the south coast just now along the triple point with a very active cold front.

Expect we'll have some more reports of thunder & lightening over the next few hours.

Some people are reporting on another forum that the rain band for them down in the south east has moved through quicker than expected of course that's not the case for everyone it just depends on where you are

I can vouch for the really heavy rain behind. Thank God we were bone dry before today down here.

I'm supposed to be driving from South East London to Peterborough at 6am but may have to make a judgement on how wise this would be early tomorrow.Have to do return journey around 5pm and not looking forward to it.

Not sure where these models are getting the heavy rain from?

Are we looking at convective rain here? Because its looking mildly moist for here. Not the 60mm of rain expected..

Hmm...

As I posted above some people are reporting it moving through quicker than shown and some are also reporting lower than expected totals, its always hard to forecast this situations sometimes when these make land we end up with less rain than forecast some times it goes the other way

All fairly benign here in somerset at the moment...

Keep checking radar for something of interest but all light and patchy.

Is damn chilly though in the wind with a max temp of just 9.2c earlier today and 8.8c currently hi.gif
