Just seen on Twitter the mention of warm weather for 5th-10th Oct...I do hate warm weather this time of year, summer had its chance and failed, its autumns turn now!

I don't mind it too much as the sun still has some strength. However, I detest the mild mush come November into January. cray.gif

Its very much unbelievable,Summer this year very much non-existent. Yet they state Global Warming is happening..........Well not in the UK,Global Wet Wash. Ironic thing is This countries terrain and soil build can cope with torrent rainfall,The problem is where we have (BUILT).

I agree with you on that one Jason, and to help stop the flooding ,drains need to be cleaned out, farmers and councils need to dig out their internal and external ditches ,rivers need to be dredged deeper clearing reed beds fallen trees, etc , if this were done millions of gallons of water would back up into these and hold and not pour into peoples houses/ businesses , I've seen water running straight off the fields through the hedges (no ditches) and onto the roads ,drains blocked so water builds up no where to go!

....okay rant over, I'm going for a night cap in the chat room now angel.gif

Bright and clear with a lovely sunrise and blue sky. Suprised to see 7.6mm of rain yesterday but lets hope that's it for a few days now.

Mornin each. Blue sky in I but a tad chilly. Hope it dries up a bit as the garden needs clearing up.

Have a good weekend all. â˜â˜â˜â˜â˜ :)

Just seen photos from poor old York. I've seen it like that a few times and I always think it looks very scary. Pity the poor residents and businesses affected. Awful! :(

Morning all,

Lovely morning here, I've just enjoyed a lovely walk in the bright sunshine - only fresh air I will get today so I certainly made the most of an early start.

Going by last night (especially in the chat room) I can only guess at the forecast for later but probably something like this....

An image I took from a train from York of the Eggborough powerstation surrounded by what looks like a lake...but really just flooded land.
