So much for the sunny south coast......

Yellow Warning of Rain for London & South East England :

Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove & Surrey

Further heavy showers may affect coastal regions of southeast England on Wednesday night and into the first part of Thursday

Oh for goodness sake, this is getting a little bit tedious and annoying now! doh.gif

Does anyone have any rainfall stats for the last couple of days from the South Coast? It sounds like some are getting an awful lot.

Official M.O station in Hastings has 73mm since "child of Nadine" arrived. 25.7mm of that fell between last night from 1700 until 1300 today.

52mm here since 11am Sunday which is exceptionally wet for us, average September rainfall is about 28mm for the month and with the 4mm for the rest of the month added we are double our monthly average on just over 56mm for the month.

And still it pours outta the sky - Relentless!

It looks like there have been a few recent lightning flashes in east Kent.

Seems to have cleared here for now but with this cycling low, I'm just not sure how much more Karin will drag up from the Atlantic or the continent to throw at us overnight.

Rain is still an issue:

Confined mainly to the South coast in the early hours?

and there is still a big pool of moisture to tap into:

Tomorrow? Most here may just escape the worst of it:

Sadly, we missed out on the storms last night (again) but we have had 51mm of rain since Sunday which is a pretty fair amount!

Yep, just started here quite heavily too, although it's been steady on and off all evening.

Looks like a fair lot on the cards in the next hour or so.

It's not raining here, either. And not a rumble all day.

Still raining here of course and as you say, the radar shows no let up for a while yet.

Satrep suggests a clear patch coming by morning?

Sounds like you south coast guys could have pretty impressive rainfall totals by the time the last vestiges of the storm are done.

Best guess at the moment is clearing up by lunchtime down here, mind you we could see another 10 to 20mm by then and with the ground saturated this could be something to keep an eye on in vulnerable areas along the coast and just inland
