Hmmm I think we could all be in for a early Winter surprise this year Coast. Output already showing strong hints for a show.?

Stunning day at the weekend retreat in brighton. Enough power in the sun still to leave a glow on the face.

This weekend last year we were swimming off the beach in 30c sunshine. Nowhere near that hot today but with a bit of vaseline or a body suit it would probably have been ok. There were a few nudists on the beach today which is always a reasonable indication of air temperature (not that I was looking)!

Happy Sunday all

There was a hint of brightness with the dawn, but that has receded into a very overcast and dull day.

I've enjoyed my walk, I called into Homebase on the way home and noticed a smurf shopping in the store...

Had a great night last night. Tarot readings, Dead Can Dance music, telling ghost stories, candle light and a very tasty chilli and nachos made by nephew, Dan. And.....it was a full moon. :D â˜âš¡â˜âš¡â˜âš¡

Ah Dead Can Dance....The Ubiquitous Mr Lovegrove must be my favourite track. What a hauntingly gothic voice Brendan Perry has.

I absolutely adore them. Enigma of the Absolute, Black Sun, Song of the Sybil and tons of others. Yes, he has got a wonderful voice. 🌙🌙🌙🌙

Amazing moon last night, Harvest Moon infact, it dipped down to 3c overnight, but is now at 15.3c, but very breezy. Rain later and overnight.

Damn, last 2 spots to look for sloes on Tuesday or there will be no 2012 vintage at this rate. An overcast day but the rain kept off so plenty done. Enjoy it though, more rain to come for the next 3 days for those that will be in our region.

It's my reserve at the moment as I found a place well off the track today that has loads but I didn't have a container to collect them. Going to have to eek out the 2011 stufff which was very good. :good:

I've managed to harvest a reasonable number of sloes this year but it's been very hit amd miss and has required a lot of effort. Some bushes have nothing, others are laden. All a bit odd. I've been looking for patterns - exposure to the sun, vulnerability to the wind, proximity to water, but there is a distinct lack of rhyme and, also, reason! No doubt when I come to drink it I won't fret too much about the source, although I did have enough to give away a half kilo to a friend last week - felt a bit suspicious, like a dealer, sidling up in the school playground with a bag of gear, offering it up as 'good berries, man'!

Well either you lot have been down here and nicked them all or the Summer weather has killed them, but it's a mission to get a reasonable harvest this year

My normal 'secret' place was just as good as ever for sloes although I have noticed a lack of berries in the hedges generally and the blackberries were not as good as they normally are but now they are in the freezer, jam and vodka so who cares !
