A super sunrise this morning must mark the departure of the stormy weather for a while now:

Morning all,

I missed the sunrise this morning but it's not a bad start to the day here, not that I'm going to see much of it today !

Mornin each. Lovely morning here in I. The sky was clear blue earlier-but now there is an Armada of clouds whipping up from the south.

Have a good P.O.E.T.S day everyone. :D â˜â˜â˜â˜â˜

Morning all. smile.png

Sunny here at the moment, although the weak front will undoubtedly spoil the day somewhat later.

Just looked at the latest available GFS run and next weekend (8 days away) looks nice and warm!

It's the only run I've looked at, I've not looked at other models and it's deep into FI, but it's a nice thought, even if only a glimmer!

It does look OK for a while Steve, just a bit of light rain here and there as is the case at the moment here.

Off to York this afternoon to assess the flooding situation, should be an amazing sight, I've never witnessed severe flooding before.

Post us lots of pictures then please, I'm guessing the water levels will have just about peaked by now - looks pretty bad up there, sad times for all those affected by the floods though, must be terrible.

Damn it caught me out again, only light rain all morning and then that came to a halt only to spark off again the minute I went for a lunchtime walk

It was spitting when I took the dog to the vet but it's stopped again now, wind has picked up a bit though !

Dog was a quivering wreck and he only had a booster vaccination, but to be fair from his point of view the last time he was there was for something much worse !

I'm an ex Yorkie. I remember the '81/82 flooding and it was amazing. (Though not for the poor things who were flooded.) People were coming from miles around to see it. Have a good day PS. Take some photos and say hello to York for me. :D

Just seen on Twitter the mention of warm weather for 5th-10th Oct...I do hate warm weather this time of year, summer had its chance and failed, its autumns turn now!

Looks like it might rain here gone quite dark!

Edit....yep just started spitting!

Is there any chance of storms forecast today? Only I swear I heard a rumble just now - torrential rain here at South Bank

laugh.png Looking at the above charts, it most probably was my stomach rumbling! Either that, or I am so desperate for a storm I have taken to imagining one!!!
