Decent elevation, you might be lucky

Yes - generally do well in this neck of the woods. Been brought up many years ago with lots of snow which means I have developed the passion that is becoming of a snow lover!

Bring it on - it's starting to look like we have a great early chance.....

Hi I'm new but I although I love the snow and ice and frost, Please spare a thought for all those who won't be able to afford to put their heating on or eat well this winter. I'm not trying to put a dampner on things but its something to be aware of. I live in rural North norfolk and our winters are quite cold, so cold in fact in 2010 I was scrapping ice off the inside of my bathroom window!! Wicked snow though, bring on this winter if the rumours are right that is. Have a great weekend all.

I also found an artist's impression of what the River Dee in North Wales will look like in a couple of weeks' time:

-6 uppers just scraping into my neck of the woods, just a wild guess but my guess would be that the highest parts of the moors would see snow and the borderline between rain and snow would be about 900-1000ft but because its the ramping thread, sod it, we are going to get pasted!!!.
