Same old murky day here as yesterday...

I did see a report that temperatures were 22C, just across the southern North Sea / English Channel yesterday, in bright sunshine. So near and yet so far.sad.png

Same...it hasn't even got properly light here, although the fog has lifted into what can only be described as misty murkiness and I can at least see across the park now !

I also wonder whether you people on the South Coast might get a bit of bright warmth, before the bright cold later in the week?

According to my BBC news feed we have more to worry about from blood rain!

Apparently its the term given to the rain that gets sand mixed in with it so we all get that reddy powder dried all over our cars, never heard it called that before!

Still fits in with the up and coming halloween!

good.gif Got that one too!

Unseasonably warm temperatures reaching 20C (68F) are predicted, followed by rain and possibly snow - and all over the next few days.

There is also a possibility of something called "blood rain" in the South East, but what is it?

"Blood rain" a term used for rain carrying sand from deserts. When the rain dries off it leaves a thin layer of dust which can sometimes be a reddish colour, hence the name. It is capable of coating houses, cars and garden furniture.

"It is a rather grandiose term for fine desert sand particles that are whipped up by winds and mix with the moisture in clouds," says a Met Office spokesman.

May i also say i cant believe hom many people are driving around with no lights on in the fog!!!

Makes me mad.

Noticed one car with no lights on yesterday morning and wondered whether they were completely bonkers. Had it been a different part of the road where there was a parked car there probably would have been a head-on collision.

Still murky, damp and cool near Bromley this morning, looking ahead to Saturday, going to a wedding in Maidstone - outdoors, Marquee and Portaloos, should be interesting, had better take a hot water bottle and a blanket!

Currently working from an office that doesn't have any windows to the outside world (don't worry, im not in prison, although it does sometimes feel like it rolleyes.gif ) so not got a clue what the weather is like outside.

I bet I can guess though. Dull, dreary, misty and damp.

I'm heading off to Cornwall for a week in a caravan on Saturday, don't care what weather is like but would enjoy some cold crisp weather if possible :-)

Well I think you'll be in the last place to be affected by the cold blast, but it will be a bit chllier than of late everywhere down here. Take your thermals!
