Rain has stopped but no sunshine here.

Just a quick overview of the next few days coming up and the cold sets in around the 2nd, but it's going back up again after that it seems?

It seems to be drying up here. The heaviest rain I saw this morning was when walking through my work car park.rolleyes.gif

I've just had to fill in the accident book, as some bloke has scalded himself with steam from the new kettle here - he's worried he might get a blister on the side of his thumb. Unbelievable!doh.gif What a wuss! Me and the lady who works with me just looked at each other.ohmy.png

Aww! Diddums! Wuss indeed. :D Tell him to grow some..............

2M temps are of course low, but I'm not sure that's all of the many ingredients we need to give us the Holy Grail:

144_17.gif

150_17.gif

Seams to remain very cold down that central spine of the UK all day:

156_17.gif

But Monday morning it looks to be back to normal according to this GFS interpretation:

Edit: I was being daft when I said the rain had stopped, of course I didn't wait for 5 minutes for it just to resume again

Exactly what my female colleague suggested too - when he'd left the office. :)

Thanks for posting that analysis Coast too. Uncertainty rules it seems.

I think so Steve, you need to be in the model thread for more detailed analysis, but I'll give my simplistic approach as a general overview for what it's worth (not a lot!!!)

I think I need my eyes testing. I glanced at Ali's message above and saw the last bit as Dog in a Double Sauce!unsure.pngph34r.png

Maybe thats the meal you ordered for the December 8th meet up Steve !!

Before anyone panics over the GFS 6z and the other overnight runs, it would be very wise to heed Chinio's post below.

His thoughts tally very well with mine and considering he's got far more knowledge and understanding of climate dynamics than I could ever have, I see it as good thing, indeed.

And another very level headed view of how things should develop as we go through the week ahead.

Maybe, but I had an altercation with the chap a couple of weeks ago, about something else, so that would have undoubtedly kicked off again.ph34r.png

I've just gone into the model thread on recommendations. There are some great posters there amongst the carnage for all users - Gibby, Fergie, TWS to name a few.good.gif Also good posters for more advanced users too - Chiono, GP etc.

But I can't stay there too long. It makes my head spin at the moment.ph34r.png

Here's as far as I'm prepared to look ahead and in my own, simplistic way:

I think that's as good as it gets at this point, looking ahead no further than the weekend.

Model summaries are very appreciated here... once the MOD gets up to twenty pages per day each winter I can't keep up! :)

Hi afcone.

Not that I'm a so called expert, I can lead you to my post from yesterday, as far as I am aware, nothing has changed as to the general trend. good.gif

Substantial and intense rain coming into work and it was double speed wipers all the way in. Some minor flooding to the sides of the roads around Lewes and the rain looks set to continue for a while yet looking at the radar. I'm thinking of becoming a fish..........

It does look cold for the weekend, but I just can't see where any other of the important ingredients will come from to make it worthwhile wink.png

Here's the best I can do:
