One of my weather apps is predicting lightning today as well as wind and rain. Crikey!! If that occurs it'll be like all my birthdays AND Christmas all at once. :D

Archiesmummy, you live about 3 miles away from me. I do have a Chuch which does help block the bad gusts [sometimes] other times their tiles just end up in front Garden. lol

Didn't mean I owned a Chuch. ROFL. It's just next to where I live.

I did wonder! What church is it? I hope it blocks rather than tiles in your garden!

the low is expected to move north (expected)

the strongest are to the south of it

if pressure drops as expected these winds could get

a little bit worrying where the isobars get really squeezed

this could go on all night

St Thomas of canterbury on the high road. Tonight it is being no help at all. Winds are getting quite bad now. Where are you?

Looking forward to the west or SW winds hitting us with in the next 30mins or so. Should increase the gusts a lot. Looks as though the pressure has bottomed out at 987.

I have the same reading. Just hope everyone stays safe. At least most of the leaves are now off the Tree's!

God, pardon the pun, I know that church well I used to go to Trinity and we were in there a lot!

I am on the good ol limes farm.

Things are moving in the garden but can't get off the sofa for fear of being ill again...

Hi from brentford, hard to sleep! Fairly strong gusts now and again. Got a tree here with one solitary leaf left on it! Not for long! Stay safe all.. Sounds wild further south.

Very rough out there in north Surrey, deep long rumbling gusts building up in fury, very noisy, getting worse then the severe squall the other night which produced a howling gale with some severe potent gusts.

My boss and her husband decided that this weekend would be a good idea to take the caravan to Brighton! I think the campsite is up on the hills past Roedean! Hope they strapped it down!
