You could make the mod thread so that only a select few can post in, like a top 20, 30, 40 or 50 people who do the best, non-biased chart analysis and that post regularly.

Then another thread for everything else .. if some folks prove to be good enough for the mod thread, then you could grant them access. The mod thread, at the moment, is a bit like having too many chiefs and only one indian. Just a thought!

Don't we have that pretty much already now, with the In Depth Model Discussion thread?

The seasonal Model Discussion thread is doing it's job nicely as it is, with people wanting to discuss and post their thoughts on the current models.

A lot of people like extremes of weather, be it hot, cold, wind, rain or snow, and while we are currently in a cold weather phase, it's only natural for people to look for more cold while it is still here.

I am sure if it was 100°F hot now, that many people would be looking for even hotter weather, and the minority would be seeking cooler weather.

Now, where would we possibly find that many folks whose analysis is 'unbiased'?biggrin.png

And certain people only think the thread is biased because few posters are talking about the weather type they want to see. rolleyes.gifnonono.gifshok.gif

Just spent a couple of days (working) in the New Forest and it was COLD. Of more interest from a weather perspective were the flocks of fieldfares that were feeding on the 'lawns' and the flocks of mixed tits that were foraging from tree to tree. No sign of pairing up, mating or nest building here with resident birds and our winter visitors are still in residence.

All this on the South Coast at the end of March!

Unreal.....

Gavin, you have a friend that "loves" the north east. The GFS.
