Is that snow cover under that cloud i can see on the horizon?

Probably, i left Folkestone around 11.30 today it was snowing then and it was laying on the feilds etc.

wet but milder than now not warm

more agreement to the 18th now

the main and control runs from gfs look nice

there are some nice ensembles there as well

BBC1 evening weather forecast still gives the potential for snow on Thursday especially areas to the south of London.

I did want to poke Darren Bett between the eyes though:

"The good news is, the weekend will be milder"

Hi JP , Like you say a big scatter on the 19th so could go either way and some cold ensemble runs (probably 50/50).

We need to start seeing signs soon in FI if we are going to get another cold shot this side of xmas, lets see what the ECM Brings

to the table.

ECM 12z at 144 is a good place to be, like you say everything further west (russian high) and heights look like they

are starting to rise over greenland ? A possible link up situation ?? wont look any further than t-144 at the moment.

Edit: there will be plenty of ramping tonight on the MOD , 168 ECM also looks good. here we go again .

Frost not lifted in many places today. Keston Ponds walk at 3pm was more like a 7am walk....brrrr (love it though). Let's see what happens....but could seriously do with a 'snow day', no work, no school and nothing to worry about other than how much fun you can have in the snow

All day frost here in the shade, very frosty and a dense fog now.

Do I detect specks of snow on the radar, is that due to the fog I wonder?

Years ago a hefty shower turned up locally here in this type of set up giving over an inch of snow, was very local and effected Thurock as well just over the river in Essex. Was very surprised.
