Because as soon as the BBC Talk about it, then it is GAME OVER rofl.gif

Look at what happened last wednesday, absolutely nothing from the NAE, All BBC Broadcasts said rain and we got 3-5cm of Snow in SE Essex.

Thursday nights Forecast of a decent covering after the rain had gone through busted very badly.

Good luck with Thursday you are going to need it sorry.gif

i am more interested in what might happen tomorrow morning , the met are showing what looks like snow showers from isle of Wight to Kent on the south coast between 6am and 12pm tomorrow. I know this won't be much ppn but it looks interesting..

How come no-one is talking about the snow potential for Thursday, BBC had snow for a time over a wide area of the south east including London area eventually turning to rain, what are people's thoughts on this?

Because it's still such a long shot that it's difficult finding any evidence to support it at the moment (from what I can see).

GFS and NMM hardly even have any precipitation until later in the day and that seems to be rain currently, although I guess there could be something on the edge of this feature:

It's really the Met O who seem to be onto anything at the moment and I'm not sure if that's cold rain or something thicker?

We were never sent home from school if the heating was broken. The teacher used to just break the icicles off our fingers and noses and beat us with a stick to make us warm....

Well I didn't get a call today, so either it was fixed or I'll have to defrost them when they get home.

Quite cold last night with a low of -1.0C, now sunny and cold with the temperature at 3.1C. tonight may be the coldest of the winter so far in the SE.

Just watched the BBC weather, that front does produce snow for us with "small accumulations" where is it on the charts???

We can only hope the BBC are right (for once) lol

After a sunny day here, there have been signs of a change in the last few minutes. I suspect I'll be driving home in fog...

It has not got above freezing here today. Currently -0.4c. Driving home from Hertford around 2pm hit the fog at Stevenage and it appears to be getting heavier as the day goes on.

I love it though, very wintry. If we can't have snow, then frost and fog are the next best thing.

John P did you get your heating fixed?

Few people in the MOD thread are more optimistic, they see the air from the west slowing and getting beaten back by air from the east and coating us.

Fingers crossed optimism works!

It has happened countless times before. Models are always over-progressive with the Atlantic.

i have just seen this article so fingers cross http://ruvr.co.uk/20...ssia-with-snow/

Article already outdated, 'the beast of the east' was quietly played down since Sunday.

Hi everyone,

I've just edited and hidden some previous posts where someone had put in their full post code and posted it on the forum, then said what house number they live at.

I hate to be a boring old fart, but could we remember this is a public forum, and although I am sure we are not all serial killers, just be careful how much personal information you give out.

Anyway, back to chasing the snow... :)
