Sounds good to me, Turn of a Friendly Card is my favourite!

Dense fog as well as frost here.

Good choice mate, I was just playing that! You Lie Down With Dogs is sublime as well.

-2.2C, should level out I think now, but pretty cold all the same, should be a nice harsh frost in the morning.smile.png

Last time I remember sustained freezing fog like this with snizzle in toe was 09/10 when I was in Cheltenham, must have been about 4 days without it lifting (we actually drove up into the cotswolds to get up above and away from it for an hour or so!) but the interesting thing was that when it finally slowly lifted, it gave a few hours of light-moderate snowfall...I would suspect we may see similar tomorrow - it occurs because rather than the fog disappearing, it lifts slowly into low cloud, and condenses.

That little precipitation area that been showing tomorrow on recent outputs seems to co-incide with the back edge of the fog

SK

Sounds about right, maybe some snizzle then for the lucky few to come then....Oh happy days!

Ah there we go, there are snow reports on Meteociel for Bedford and Whittering, noticed quite a clump of PPN earlier moving down from Wembley towards Harrow in NW London.

Nocturnal cooling deeper into the night will make that drop further, 7-8am is looking the coldest part of the night/morning strangely enough.

Very cold here with a hard frost at the moment - Temp is -4c and Dewpoint is -5c

Absolutely crystal clear though with no hint of any fog and 100% clear upto the Stars! Might be due to a slight breeze coming up the estuary from the East North East at present although it is quite variable at present.

Goodness me. Just arrived at Waterloo station to head to deepest Surrey on the last train home and it's the coldest I've ever known it.

Amazing difference between the heat island in the centre of London to this area by the Thames.

Bitterly cold this evening!

MT8_London_ens.png

there is still a slight disagreement on temperatures on the 14th

the above average temps have gone

drops again on the 19th that is certainly fi

still look wet but not as bad as expected

50-50 split on cold or not so cold

the weather coming in although milder than now will not feel warm

far from it

we will be lucky to see 10 degrees but with wind and rain yuk

Temperature -3.4 °C

Dew Point -4.1 °C

Windchill -3.4 °C

It was doing something here earlier, snizzle or what I don't know but there is a thin layer of white over everything now and it's colder than a tin toilet seat on the shady side of an iceberg !

-4.2 here. Seems the models have been quite conservative in predicting overnight minima across the SE. BBC had us down for -4 but its reached that and it's only 0030 hrs. Several other locations are knocking on the door of -5
