Friday is looking like a good bet for another snow event

Seriously?! It's moving so slowly took 8 minutes to get here from shields and another 14 to get to Heaton.

Its just got a bit heavier here again

Heavy for last ten minutes in Nunthorpe

Cramlington, put down a few centimeters in half an hour and still going, roads white again

Very heavy snow here, accumulating rapidly where the car was parked next door.

Stopped now at the coast lay down a cm or two but will lose that as its melting slowly. Another band seeming likely but they are moving slowly southward so north of the region might not catch any more showers today.

Easily an extra 1-2cm from this shower!

I think the next band will hit us if it intensifies like this one did, but it currently has some gaps in it which may be aimed at the NE.

Not too impressed by this shower. The flakes are very fine and it's not laying on surfaces where snow has melt.
