Hubby just got the call to do a full grit in central London. I do think this is quite positive as they do not normally send the foot way gritters out if they are expecting rain. Quite a positive thing good.gif

Jeez earlier today I had 50% risk for tomorrow and 0% for Tuesday and now I have 90% risk tonight 95% for tomorrow and 80% for Tuesday - I think I need some chocolate to help calm me down!!!!!

I have a feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night :)

Just rode home down the A2 into that easterly.....brrrrr,my finger-thermometer under my gloves said "get me the hell home we`re cold!"

That`s a bitter windchill going on out there tonight, then i log in here and see pink incoming, with a casserole in the over and feet warming on the radiator it could be a good evening!

ECM has also prolonged the cold spell on this run. Something the GFS has done on it's last several runs.

Would these wind directions and air thickness not be good for snow tomorrow?

Steve,

That is exactly the point i made earlier to you. If you are going to punt for snow showers for Tuesday & Wednesday then please label it as far se and into kent. As this leaves those 'inexperienced' at model reading in the west of the se confused and this in turn gets those posting ' Is it going to snow imby '. Which does bug others in this thread as mentioned by some earlier.

Hi

In Stevenage here and as things stand we are in a fairly good position for snow here so you should be ok. Will be driving down the a1m past Hatfield in the morning and back during evening rush hour so will think of you as I go past lol

People seem to be forgetting that we could also get a covering from the first front moving down from the North West tomorrow.

I'm lurking and have just joined as I'm really confused by it all. Does the blob mean snow? I've tried looking at and interpreting the map, but in the short space of time end wit a headache.

Net weather state there's 95% chance of snow, but thisvaries. There's been no snow here. Is the variaability to do with the statospheric warming (which I do have a basic understanding of)?

Apologies if this not the correct place to raise the question.

Best.

This thread should be the kent and essex thread. I think there should be a seperate thread for the rest of the SE.
