I think we could just miss it, looking at the NMM and NAE it just goes west of us. We she'll see you never know. Radar watch time.

Thanks Ian,

Less of the "old chap" though I'm not 30 until saturday! help.gifrofl.gif

You know I have not seen snow on my birthday in 30 years so maybe just maybe this time it could happen... good.gif

tonights PPn over Wales

I really cant see it hitting anywhere in Hampshire(sorry)

west wiltshire/ dorset should be its most eastward .

Devon /Cornwall its most west , until midnight when the northerly wind influence could push it a lilttle further west

Hi Ian, many thanks for your exceptionally valued input again tonight.

Is the precipitation in Wales all part of a trough right now? Looks to be sliding South/SSE now so can see where yourself and the UKMO are thinking increasing snowfall risk this evening especially for Somerset and probably much of Devon and into Wilts etc.

Shame the Dewpoints look too high for us in West Cornwall tonight but looks like any precip may stay to our East though may be any precip towards here may be wintry on the moors. :)

Don't say that because I'm not having another late night. Haha. Looking at the radar it does look like coming this way. But the winds change later, It's got a long way to come.

Just approaching North Bristol with a heavy burst around Newport and Cardiff, still due to track SE through Somerset. could be good on the Mendips later.

well I have a nose into the Wales thread and it is snowing in Cardiff and Hereford. Thick n fast for some. Someone said something about lightning.. Does anyone know how fast this is travelling .. Radar doesn't help bit I just wonder I wonder could this be thunder snow and a front moving fast like we had one January 2005 I think it may have been which swept from Brum? Just a thought.. ?? Probably not but would welcome views. Edited by Polar Bear

Lampost says "No" - at this minute.

I'll keep watching, without disturbing my better half watching Embarassing Bodies or something like that!
