Steve M am I right in thinking the 6z does have a tendency to move everything East and we can expect a westward correction from the 12s?

Not that I want this of course but trying to not get too excited.

I would say the further WEST you are in our region the better. More margin for error here. Those further EAST like me, then pray!!...

Radar shows shower moving into far east kent ( see herne bay above reporting snow ) - looking at current path and if it holds then hope it should reach my area ( nr charing, ashford kent )

I'm happy that my forecast went ok though that's rare hahah :D

about 2CM on the ground alot of gruaple early hours which woke me up settled on everything, then it snowed and i woke up to a pretty site :). That's about 4CM+ so far this winter, not to bad but not great either. More snow showers coming throughout the day, some will be heavy but it doesn't look like 10cm+ i'm afraid

East Kent in the frame for showers imminently. Could be a good day for you guys.

Yes, been watching those Shrimper, look to be heading for the eastern parts of Kent. Dont think anything too heavy but could give a covering, esp. over the Eastern Downs, east of say Canterbury/Ashford. Light flow from the NE, for a few hours yet. Good luck, you guys down there.

The 6z has an eastward bias, but more in the mid term past 120.

Wait for the 12s to update for t60 and see where the line is....

Think it's fair to say though that regardless of what any run shows today, tomorrow etc there will always be high potential for things to change right up until the last minute with this situation - the good thing i see is that even if this doesent come of for us this time around, things are shown to stay cold for some time presenting us with plenty more possible opportunities over the next few weeks. Certainly no period of SW or mild milder showing anywhere.

i suspect we could scrape an ice day down here if the mist stays...

However if the sun comes out id expect us to be below freezing at 4pm.

Expecting minus 4 here tonight....

Maybe an odd flurry...

S

Yep, stuck at approx -1.2c here in Rochester for the last hour.

Looking decent for my location on friday after we missed out the other day, will being by the coast be to my detriment? Also I have a funeral friday afternoon, and its 100m above sea level. Should I be worried about this?

Being on the South coast, with winds coming off the Channel ahead of the snow band, there is always a chance of some marginality creeping in there. But, I think even the coasties "should" be ok for an all snow jobbie on Fri/Sat. IF the snow makes it of course.

Certainly keep an eye on the output over the next day or so!
