Apart from a gentle flurry earlier today which lasted all of 10 mins I have seen no snow in Galway this winter and long may that last. smile.png

Hugely impressive snowfall out there, much more so than Friday. Needless to say, there's traffic chaos. Where's this going to end, looking at the radar, as it keeps coming. For sure, the Skywatchers aren't going out tonight, though not from choice. The lying snow readings from Casement make painful reading in contrast. There does seem to be some activity heading towards Dublin. Perhaps something tonight if temps/dp fall?

Crazy snowfall now, massive flakes. 20cm plus.

Lol MS, those are some size of flakes! blum.gif Glad you're getting some. We haven't had much in the way of fresh snow today by the looks of things although the streets are still a nightmare to get through with the snow still lying very thick. Work in Antrim and it's a completely different world, hardly a pick of snow to be seen.

I love the headline on bbc Northern Ireland news "Roads affected by heavy snow showers" !!! Well if a snow shower lasts for ten hrs which it has in Saintfield I would love to know their definition of " PROLONGED SNOW"!! We would all be extinct by now!! Crazy statement from a very poor forecast by them! Havnt had snow like this in years. Beats Fridays hands down!

Snowing since 4 here in eastern donegal albeit very very light for the majority of time. About an inch outside on the grass and the road is getting white now. Other parts of donegal have a decent lair I've just been unfortunate where I'm at. Didn't expect this, looking at the radar it's a narrow band moving directly East to West, long may it continue
