Beeb forecast yesterday said at 8am should be on the doorstep or London, which it is, but only just reaching N Wales with a good few hours twilit got here. That to me verifies the northward extent of this front.

I take it the main band should get to us now right?

It'd be devastating if it didn't after seeing how close it is on the radar.

I wouldn't like to say for certain but the snow is getting heavier and the band is still making progress. Looking good atm :)

Promised the kids we would be able to build a snow man today. Will we get enough in Warrington area to do that?

NOt according to the BBC, but yes according to lamp column forecast!! Looks good at the moment

Snow here, started sleety but now its definitely snow struggling to settle in the wind though

....on the Wirral?!????!!!

We're a fair way under the band of precip here in Weston near Crewe, but it's just light to fair, with small flakes. I couldn't even class it as moderate. It was heavier in Nantwich about five miles North when I went on the school run an hour ago.

Moderate-heavy snow with huge flakes here in sandbach Louise so you should see some moderate snow at least soon.
