the wind is pretty strong here, and with the snow being the powdery stuff its being blown everywhere, so it ends up looking like there is nothing happening outside, just went out, the temp as dropped a lot, the dp as followed suit...and the snow is light to moderate

We're a fair way under the band of precip here in Weston near Crewe, but it's just light to fair, with small flakes. I couldn't even class it as moderate. It was heavier in Nantwich about five miles North when I went on the school run an hour ago.

you have a strong se wind blowing powder everywhere.

Main band is right at my door now, only a matter of time.

There's already a few cm from last night on the ground so any extra is going to build up very fast.

The odd decent flake starting to come down here now, I really am genuinely shocked to see the fronts relentless march north/northeastwards this morning, didn't expect it to be anywhere near us when I woke up this morning!!

Chucking down here in Aintree! And windy! If this keeps up i'll see over 5cms that for sure.

I'd say more like 10 cms the way it's going! Big flakes and sticking nicely.

Mornin all, fat flakes and coming down heavier now, should I go to work and risk not getting home later tonight?

We had flurries at about 7.30 in Knutsford, then light snow until about 8, and now it's coming down nicely. The ground near the house that had melted after the cm or so last night has covered already. Hoping that nice extra heavy stuff comes to visit, although would be happy with this level of snow for a few hours!

Lol local BBC forecast showing at 1pm what we currently have now, seriously hope they have misjudged the timing & extent of the snow, although I think it will lose its intensity as it tracks north
