Some really good totals, still a fair few hours left to go for some central/northern Wales. Looks like there is a fair few reports of 6-8 inches on the ground.

Interesting how the pp is expanding and deepening over North West Wales looking like they in for a pasting .Wheres is going seems to be stationary lol. Edited by keithlucky

It's severe weather here at the moment. Very Heavy Snow, drifts, ice and the gusty winds. How the heck the Met Office doesn't believe that we need a Red warning.

These were taken about an hour ago. Since then still snowing, but very fine, so don't think it will increase the depth. Just seen two blackbirds squaring up over some sunflower seeds - well saw beady eyes and yellow beaks, as they were mostly up to their necks in snow!

The front stalled further north so i think you beat the S Wales in snow total.

Looking at PPM charts for next week how can we be so unlucky. When we dont want PPM we get shed loads when we do, then skim the edge or affect SE. Hung dinger is that one.

I'm right beneath it. It's atrocious. The snow is so heavy it looks like fog.

Mostly stopped now unfortunately above zero so a slight thaw possible. No lying snow on the Newcastle Emlyn cam that's just 15 miles away towards Cardigan.

Where I am ( just off A487 between Plwmp and Brynhoffnant) we have a good 4-5 inches, Ffrostrasol/Rhydlewis road is blocked, council using JCB's to clear the road. Temp rising and the sun is shining. My friend in Cennarth has nothing!

Will this white stuff be around for long, and why is it so localised? Appreciate any thoughts on this. Thanks Guys good.gif

Home from work now, got there without too much trouble, snow was just beginning to settle at 6am as I got to work. Lasted until around 10am then we've had showers. It hasn't amounted to much unfortunately. Got back from work even easier. Roads are fine. Shame it didn't live up to some of the hype here but nevermind.
