Moderate snow now in Biggin. Had a bit of a lull, however, now really going for it. Filled in my foot prints and the cat's wee (thank gawd). Happy days xxx

My hubby has given up and gone upstairs. He just doesn't understand me LOL

Mine is watching a film while I run from radar watching to lamp post watching :)

All those showers flowing along the Thamessmile.png

Now we need to get rid of this area of snow which still seems to be back building from energy in the English channel so a Thames Streamer can kick in, though Paul doesn't seem particularly excited about the streamer potential

Hi Mate, have done better than I thought really considering I am in central London and surrounded by buildings, but got about 6cm right now!! I reckon you will be way ahead of me by tomorrow morning by the looks of the radar.

Let me know what you have got when you get home. biggrin.png

Hi Sno',

It might be close, Anerley sits just under the Crystal Palace/Norwood ridge and is exposed to the S.E, wonder what effect that strong S.E. wind has had on my depth. today. Can I measure a drifted amount? No I'll play the game!

Cheers Sno',

Tom.

Looks like Folkestone should just catch the edge of the rather pretty blob moving NNE in the channel...not been much there so far

Well thats the ECM & UKMO Onside then, GFS Still very worrying, only good part is I take absolutely no notice of goofus anyway for near time events so that has eased my fears somewhat thanks ed!

I guess with the way the GFS has been verifying you need not worry then!!

Looking very good for streamers tomorrow though, evern the MetO and GFS have managed to cover themselves with very light ppn in the Thames estuary tmrw (you need to squint though). :D

Right we now have a perfect surface wind angle for a Thames streamer to setup. I don't think the upper winds are playing ball though....yet.

Well what a fantastic day today, lovely walk in deep snow with the missus, snowball fights, nearly getting the car stuck in the carpark, and a lovely ruby delivered washed down with a few bevvies!!

This is once in every 10 years day to me as a snow lover!!

hhheeeyyyy im on the top of box hill in the surrey dolomites....

3 inches of powder by the tree pub!

S

Good in the North Downs, int' it Steve?!

Head off to Leith Hill next - highest point in SE England. Top of the tower is over 1000 ft above sea level with stunning views. Though views may be restricted a little at night, I concede. Then Holmbury Hill - George Harrison/Eric Clapton 'Here Comes the Sun' territory though, again, probably not at night...

Still questioning what will have the best snow cover... The bins or the table?? The problem is that the wind is blowing it off the surfaces and I live above an office, so the floor is no use.

It's all looking good tomorrow for streamers... we could get the full monty - ESE, E'ly and ENE!!
