And the thaw begins :-( ...drip drip drip from the roof's , but it's the slowest thaw I have ever witnessed , I'm thinking the thaw will just start to get going as the temperature drops back to 0 degree's ...current temperature here is 0.7 degree's and the dew point is 0.0 degree's on the nose !..both slowly falling ! :-)

Snow has nearly stopped now after an hour of heavier stuff. Main roads not looking too good, though only got 3.2cm of snow out on the garden table :)

I can just visualise the fur collars and Range Rovers of Essex being pulled out of heated garages, past mock georgian mansions with electric gates, down heated block paved driveways, into several centimetres of crisp gorgeous essex girl snow, " oh daz, innit lush, go back an get me ugg boots, this is gonna be massive " smile.png

That's being melted by people heating probably, heat rises.

that's a good point....that would make sense, because there's no visible melt on the car roofs, pavements , grass etc !!

Just had a look outside. I've seen more 'dusting' on top of a victoria sandwich, but it's a start.

Now it would be lovely for the wind to shift to a straight easterly, the estuary fill up and then just pummel us all night, in my ideal world it would move up the estuary towards London and multiply and spread out creating every type of slapper, streamer, screamer, tickler, clipper, clappers you name it!
