Could 2013 really be the year people talk about in 2050 when snow is a distant memory and people sunbathe in January!!

Cobblers, winters will just be the same in 40 years :D

Steady snow here in Notting Hill, brisk E'ly wind, radar still looking good, especially those to the East of London. All good. :D

Just walked home from the pub. It doesn't feel particularly cold. Light snow falling but not sticking. Paths all quite melt-y but still 5cm on cars

Haha, my girlfriend gets fed up as I'm constantly sat on the forum reading and skipping to the radar every few minutes!

All this talk about the Essex streamer, im giving it half hour then heading out Chelmsford/Maldon way, with my 4x4 and a tow rope, bound to be plenty of Beemers struggling out there on a friday night!!! £££££££££££££

Am i correct in thinking Thanet is in line for a couple hours of snow?

Looks that way, Seems to be coming up from France before going over us then on to Essex! :)

Did I hear a plane or thunder

Thundersnow?! Only seen/heard that once!! Still going strong here...15mm and counting (would've more if not for that pesky wind!) - how much do you have?

Is that similar to the 2001 (?) MetO statement that children may never see snow again? I know we're only talking locally, but it just looks like weather to me. 4 years in a row with decent snowfalls is better than I saw in the 80s - may have seen it in the 70s with the only true white Xmas I've seen in this corner of the UK.

treacherous out there... car stuck on a not-so-steep hill which goes into my block of flats.... had to reverse out and park on the street... (1st world problems)

some people should not be allowed to drive when its like this.
