The heavier stuff should reach here very soon.

Temp has risen here to 1.9oC and so has the DP at now -0.6oC. We are having some frozen rain on and off and it has gotten quite windy. Let's see what happens next.....

Still nothing of note in Barnsley just yet. Light flakes being blown around in the breeze.

Hopefully mate, but only sleet and wet snow a little earlier, but the temps should drop more when the heavier PPN arrives. It should last throughout the night according to the GFS PPN charts.

Do you think it will settle with how wet it is. Dew point is at 0 !!!!

Our temperature has dropped nearly 2 degrees since it started a few hours ago, still no covering but temperatures are just about heading below 1 degree for the first time since Friday evening.

In those new builds off Hough Side Road?

I saw a car having a great time getting out of there yesterday as I walked past! That drive is about 30% !!!.

No. In the old houses facing post hill and with perfect views of any snow coming from.....the East. So I should be happy choppy tonight.

I think it will in a little while and we should eventually have a good covering.

Great how this snow has come in, not that few flakes just falling out of the blue nonsence and getting slightly heavier, just all came in from nothing straight to level 2 on the murmometer in seconds.

Snow should be setting in here around an hour... temperatures have dropped a bit and dew point is below freezing however there has been just drizzle so far. However that will change when the precipitation peps up.

I reckon we could get quite a lot tonight into tomorrow. There has only been a minor thaw too.
