After 30 minutes of sleet, we've now got very light snow. Dews dropping as well, so that's good news. Right, off to watch the NFL now - enjoy it if you get it.

It's very encouraging reading the snow reports further south along the coast at skegness mate. The temp should slowly keep droppinggood.gif

Its starting to settle even tho the ground was wet :)

It's very hard to tell as it's very light lol.The radar shows heavier precip coming our way soon though,so i think we will do ok in a little while.

I'm hoping so. We just seem to be skirting round the edge of it at the moment.

Hmm. Not a chance this is going to last 12 hours for the south of our region. Look how quick the low pressure front is moving nw.

High-res EC model says 12 hours of snow for Sheffield.

Watch the radar not the model. You can clearly see how quickly its moving,

And? It's forecast to slow down.

Hopefully its going slow down when hitting the Pennines and the concertina effect will be like wringing out a wet cloth over Yorkshire. Heres hoping.

After this snow event, I see no high above freezing with lows of -7C - what snow we get ain't leaving anytime soon.
