Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but how do you 'ignore' someone?

Go to your profile in the top right hand corner then select Manage Ignore Prefs and just key in the name of the person. I have quite a few people on Ignore, saves a lot of stress at times!

well Southern trains aren't doing well today. Cancelled loads from my station and the rest are massively delayed. Contemplating working from home instead of wasting time on a train platform.

Thawing here slightly. Dropping off trees and cars.

This. Is. Hilarious: @HuffPostUKCom: Cat experiences snow for the first time http://t.co/HQc8FnrM

Fabulous! Thanks for posting the link. One of my cats experienced snow for the first time this weekend, she went and sat in it!

But I thought it was going to be near the South Coast but turning to snow further inland if it makes it?

It seems to be on its way for a Channel cruise at the moment, perhaps it thinks we've had enough this weekend and it's taking it's precip to play elsewhere?

Morning all had to brave the roads very early this morning after OH spent what seemed like forever clearing the van off as I needed an emergency trip to a&e seems I have an allergic reaction to some wallpaper paste I've been using to decorate my kids bedroom!! My face swollen triple the size it normally is, my eyes closed to a squint and I was having difficulty catching my breath :( some steroids and piriton through IV soon helped now I'm back in the warm again, was pretty scary must admit and I was cursing the snow for being so thick in my turning!!!

God :( hope you are ok now! Weirdly this has happened to my little boy this weekend too. We are just back from the doctors and she said he is having a reaction to something. His little face is massive... Normal on the left..we have no idea what the reaction is to :(post-16115-0-70146500-1358768358_thumb.j

Temp here risen to 1.6 today with slow thaw. Were a few cloud breaks but they have filled in.Just saw latest BBC 24 and no snow forecast for SE(earlier this morning it seemed more positive!!)Unless things change i think we will have a gradual thaw during week with re-freeze during nights.Hope i am wrong, but thats the way is see it from looking at modelscray.gif

.

Maybe re-load of cold from early Feb!!!!!!!!!!!!good.gifblum.gif

Yeah I hope so but it must be something from school and absolutely no clue what! The Dr said call 999 if it gets worse... always reassuring...not!

My brother had this... Could be a number of things..

1) Washing the clothes in Bio soap

2) What he washes in the Bath (my sister also has to use non smelly soap)

3) Pets (pretty obvious one)

4) Something he is eating

I could be way off the radar here so to speak but looking at xcweather the winds nearer to the SE Coast shows a SE'ly after lunch, hope that might be enough to drive it inland over us somewhere in Kent !!

Tilly, I'm a nurse,

Take him to hospital. Not because I think it's serious but your son will be seen by a pediatrician who are far more skilled than GP's at diagnosing children xxx

To be honest, as things look a bit more marginal over the next day or so I would rather it stayed dry and we got some hard overnight frosts. Once snow has had a good hard frost or two on it, it melts much less easily than when it is newly fallen. Also clearing overnight skies should suppress dew points which can be a bigger killer than temperatures even a degree or so above freezing during the day

It must be a very light thaw here indeed as the snow falling off trees appears to have abated. The snow is still on the mayoral jag as well!

Very snowy looking sky down here still with bits of sleet falling every now and again but its so fine you would have to look very hard.

Anyways not a lot of snow melt going on at the moment, some dripping from sliding snow on the conservatory but holding up well, think the low dewpoints here are helping a lot

Temp : 0.9c

Dewp : -2.3c

Really dont know why the dewpoint has been lower here last 3 or 4 days

A great day yesterday, finished with around 8cm on the ground, a little more on the cars and tables etc. Its thawing a little now but should still be a good amount on the ground by the end of the day blum.gif

This station suggests even lower dew points. It is a strange one as we seem to be a couple of degrees lower than most, in terms of dew's. and have been for a number of days now. As you say.

I have been looking at this regularly and seems accurate enough.

Hmm..

we havent changed washing powder or fabric softner, no new products in the bath, we have no pets and he hasnt eaten anything different (he has food issues so only eats a handful of things) I've asked the school if there is anything new they have been using or doing any planting etc and they're going to get back to me. He is itching all over with a rash too. Very odd! Thanks for your reply though lovely x
