Serious Question,,,,,,,,The temps here remaining around freezing and service road still snow covered and icy, Snow not really thawed too much, Same happend 2010, Is this because of being in Valley? Seems microclimate

Well there are some odd old things being forecast for our adjoining regions tomorrow and I would be surprised to see anything finally falling out of the sky, from cold rain to full-on snow - or maybe nothing at all?

I find that a little more exciting though I think, like being a kid looking out of the window in the morning. You saw the weatherman sticking things on to the map, and that bloke on This Morning jumping around on the Thames but never really knew what was going to happen!!

Missus just got back from Plymouth and said there were flakes coming down. Although very light.

IMO which may not be helpful, I think a valley will hang on to cold because there is more shade.

Taunton Deane tomorrow - pretty certain from all this it will rain and then wet snow later in the day wont settle. Amounts reduced now to 2 - 5cm anyway. Another non event.

Latest NAE does something different again. Rain into SW England;

post-12721-0-21176600-1358780817_thumb.j

Turning to snow as it reaches Bristol/Bath/M4 area northwards;

post-12721-0-42682400-1358780867_thumb.j

Carrying on NE into the Cotswolds as snow, light drizzle behind the front in Somerset/Bristol area;

Definetly a nowcast event IMO.

And current situation isn't helping temps a tad high along with dew points.

One of the most complex to forecast in a long time

Totally agree. Taking what the models show for tomorrow with a pinch of salt currently.

Too much variance for confident forecasts.

Yup. Just tweeted Ian that exact question.

After watching the BBC National forecast, I'm kinda glad that there's so much uncertainty because it didn't look great (IMBY). However Somerset looked like it was in the firing line, so I expect some on here would bank that forecast.

But I'm sure something completely unexpected will happen in a scenario like this.
