What does it matter whether it's a horse a cow or a sheep, it's still all sorts of animal parts in most burgers such as intentines, doofers etc ....Poor buggers....So glad I don't eat animal flesh or secretions....

Coast, if you are/were at home, I think it would be all eyes to your South right now, at least according to the radar it is. clapping.gif

Hmmm, going to have to keep an eye on that, if it falls as more snow it could be interesting on the frozen snow/slush we have already.

Currently 1c with dew point 0.9c and humidity 99%, I am guessing reason for this this is change in wind direction to southerly. Lets all hope tomorrow delivers as I think its our last chance in current set up also looking forward to some real cold nights later in weekgood.gif

No, its been changed to the rights and wrongs of eating meat!! Didnt you know?? Arguements on both sides im sure.

Anyway, back on topic. I know this winter is no comparison to 1963, but I was watching something on tv about this and the nation were fooled into a false sense of security by mild air creating a thaw (then floods) only for 3 days later to be hit even harder by blizzards.

Does anyone think this is happening due to the SSW? Thoughts please!!

Not as cold as predicted today, only got down to 0c when it was predicted to get down to -3c/-4c.

Is this what might affect the snow chances tomorrow? Although BBC local had temps again down to -4/-5c tonight early hours of tomorrow.

The winter of 1977/78, Was the Blizzard that hit south west breakdown situation? Feb 78

The cold air in 1978 didn't want to move and actually won during that situation, this time it looks more likely the warm air will win.

Certainly less cold today with a slow thaw between now and sunset with I would anticipate temperatures nudging up to +2-3C by this afternoon all due to the Easterly flow being cut off and the light West to SW feed that's now occurring.

Good morning all. Rubbish start to the day. Had a job interview and I flunked it badly. Gutted as I really wanted the job.

And then I check the MO forecast and the snow forecast from 12 has disappeared. Replaced by cloud.

But we did have an ice day yesterday! Temp now is -1.2c and dp of -2

I think it was 2010. When it showed milder air trying to come in from the SW, never got far and many areas got plastered with snow :-)

Don't lose sight of EC which produces significant snow into W Country & S Wales tomorrow eve/night.

Ahh yes, the EC does show something more widespread over the West Country;
