Looks like most of the south east will get 6-10" tonight IMHO if the dew points drop to allow snow which they probably will

The precip is much more intense than on Sunday and that still delivered 3-4" to the region

Yay! Just started snowing v.v. lightly in Tunbridge Wells! Only the odd flake but definitely snow not rain or sleet... Temp has really dropped here too.

Hi guys (and girls).

Is this snow I'm looking at on radar due to come to north Kent? I have a driving lesson to deliver 6-8 pm and don't fancy getting caught in it! Thanks!

PS the rain on here is snow.

London looks likely to get totally clobbered! AGAIN.

Prediction - Kent / Essex 1-2"

West Sussex - 4"

Surrey - 8"

Central London - 4"

NW/N London - 5"

Berkshire - 7"

Unless dewpoints drop sharply here in Berkshire and the air temperature also falls below freezing, I'd be surprised if we got more than a covering from this. The laying snow has been melting steadily all day and we now have drizzle falling. Not great conditions for big wet flakes to produce 7 inches!

We still have snow left here from the past few days, very patchy though has to be said, but all the patches that were left are kinda joining up with each other now and slowly but ever so surely the ground is beginning to turn white again, I can only imagine what conditions are going to be like tomorrow morning if this all freezes over, temperature plunging toward zero again now...so we'll have partially melted snow, slush sitting on top...frozen...the remenance of the weekends snow sitting on top of that, with wet snow on top of that...and then fresh proper snow on top of that !!

the result = A MESS !!

DP has dropped from 0.9 to 0.3c in the last 40 mins.... I am remaining hopeful :D

wasting your time chiono.....I've been posting charts clearly showing the uncertainty all day and saying just watch the radar but it all falls on deaf ears.

Glad to see some of our region getting snow :)

I think it is wise to stress that these are very marginal conditions - it could stay as snow or turn back to a sleety mix. Nightfall should help.

As night sets in and it gets colder then the dew points will drop? I think my prediction will be pretty close tbh

Massive snowfall for areas between J7-12 of M25 and J3-9 of the M3 10-15m either side of those boundaries IMHO
