I just cant get worked up for a snow event if its going to be followed by thaw....I have decided Im not a snow fan..im a lying snow fan......if its not going to stick...id prefer hail much more dramatic...(although not in summer it plays havoc with the veg garden)

agreed, as nice as it is too see snow falling its such a waste knowing its going to turn to rain. will look forward to the windy days anyhow

That 06Z NAE ties in almost EXACTLY with the Met Office warning. The NAE is the model to follow right now, I'd watch it closely. Another factor to monitor is how low the temperatures can sink tonight. The lower the better.

Yes, the NAE has been excellent over the last week.

Will be interesting to see how the front develops tomorrow, clearly the METO expect a decent core of PPN in the Northern and Central part of the vertical attack. Usual rules will probably apply, you are likely to see it turn to rain quicker if you are in lowland West Lancs & Cheshire or on the Cumbrian coast.

Making you one of the warmest locations on Mainland Britian...... According to XCweather!

I got 4.3 in my back yard ...it is pretty sheltered though

And then it nailed the events so it gained a little respect from me.

Yes indeed, they must be sticking with their own models right now, I'd still expect a decent few hours of snow even to the western coast tomorrow, as ever, time will tell!

People in the office started talking about tomorrow's snow and the weather warnings. Many of them say they will leave early or work from home!

Here we go again... rolleyes.gif

Tell them to pack there canoe they've got more chance floating on water than getting stuck in the snow :p

can't see it being cold enough for any decent snow tomorrow - temperatures haven't been as cold overnight as I thought they would have been due to cloud cover. Don't know if there is any sufficient warming due ahead of the front? This also raises temps even more and you'll be lucky to even see sleet then.

Cloud cover will once gain limit how far the temperatures can fall tonight plus an ever increasing wind not helping.
