I find it better talking in here, I hate the model thread its just full of Southerners hoping and praying for the Screaming Easterly that always brings the bacon home apparently. They're obsessed with easterly's, I really hope this NNW cold spell come's off as we move in to February! One of them was even trying to say that the heavy Snow that fell in parts of the North West last Friday night was just a "moderate" dusting! For crying out loud 30cm fell across quite a wide area, by reading such nonsense like that you'd think they get regular 30cm dustings down south! Anyway rant over! lol smile.png

I got a moderate dusting of nothing during that event LOL

Passed through a thunderstorm on the way home tonight. Lashing it down when I got home - torrential in fact - standing water on the motorway in places.

Good to see the imbalance in the rainfall totals for here didn't last long :)

Yep perfect!

I honestly wouldn't bother with them in there mate, they stopped me posting for a while a while back because they didn't like what I had to say, all I was doing was pointing out that the UK has other regions in it other than the South East. Bang 2 warning points and a posting restriction!

ha good on you!!!

Yes there was raging wetness from 3.30-- 4.30pm today.

I was in Longridge. Nearly got blown off my feet. Then about 20 mins later there was a close crack of thunder and then a phenomenal downpour. Walls of water. Streets turned to rivers for a while. Then some horizontal hail as the clearance came through.

Wild wind crashing around here tonight and howling in the chimney. Doesn't feel so warm as the 7.9C on the thermometer. Plenty of snow around still, but our igloo has melted on the SW side.
