Snowing hard again here in Tunbridge Wells after not letting up for most of the morning, but not settling yet ... this has been a very strange day! It's lovely to see it falling so I for one am very happy, especially seeing as I was expecting nothing at all.

Weather a little awkward and confused right now. Small snow flakes? Light rain? Snizzle? Sleet? All of the above... Let's see if the M25/A3 back down to Surbiton have any more permutations. Of course the M25 around the M3 junction always seems a degree or two warmer than Uxbridge, so I'm guessing it'll be the wet stuff.

Aw, Paul, I don't think I have even seen that for the past two years. Beggars can't be choosers, I suppose.

Just drove back from lyme Regis what a strange scene all the way back areas with snow, then some with none, driving on the A303 I drove through, snow , rain, sleet heavy rain and winds!

The best part was driving through heavy snow blizzard conditions as I approached stone henge for about 20mins

Although it was struggling to settle it looked very nice

Anyway had a great weekend and safely back in Croydon now

Very light snow again. Pepping up as I write

Send it to Croydon, Jan.

Tom.

While the accumulation has been a bit disappointing, the fact that it has now being snowing for 21 of the last 22 hours here in the 'burbs of London is worthy of a mention. drinks.gif

Miserable day - cold and damp with what snow we had now melted, snow thicker nearer to Chelmsford and I think we can all consider ourselves a bit lucky last night as conditions were quite marginal especially here.

The roads were not too bad, one of the main problems was branches down from trees due to the weight of the snow !

Wouldn't be at all surprised to see flurries/light snow at times in parts of the region, more so towards the east, into tomorrow morn.

This type of slack easterly suggests so, only nuisance value but still nice to see!

Well we have been streaming every year since 2009 so yes we will be streaming, bit of a change this year though, will only be streaming when in chase mode and not all the time whilst driving along (Eg positioning days etc) like we have the last 4 years.

Some other new features to look out for this year as well, and a more interactive platform linked to twatter and facebook etc

Nice photos MKSA!

Sadly it was a non-event here with snow melting readily once it had reached the ground. The temperature never really feel below 1C which didn't help aswell as the lack of any moderate-heavy PPN to help bring the temperatures down. Had a bit more snow this morning which only stuck on a few surfaces and again melted fairly quickly.

Maybe some transitional snow possible on Wednesday evening, as milder air returns from the Atlantic.
