Well the latest run of the 'El Crapo' GFS says a light dusting tomorrow morning here and there:

I'm out for work near to MKSA's part of the World tomorrow, so I'm hoping it still looks like those lovely photo's she's posted above!

We ended up with a sprinkling, not enough to cover the grass and all melted now . . Oh well maybe next year!!

On the plus side I still have a first major snow event to look forward to . . sometime in the near future (next few years) I hope :-)

Yes Tom

I think the Estuary will keep giving us spits and spots smile.png

Yes Jan and uppers should lower towards -5 too, shame we can't tap into those -10 uppers further to our NE.

Tom.

If we go with the latest from our in-house NMM, then this could bring a fleeting bit of the white stuff for a few in the East and London areas late tonight into tomorrow:

Well we have been streaming every year since 2009 so yes we will be streaming, bit of a change this year though, will only be streaming when in chase mode and not all the time whilst driving along (Eg positioning days etc) like we have the last 4 years.

Some other new features to look out for this year as well, and a more interactive platform linked to twatter and facebook etc

Will watch this year, only just found this site.

I'll give this winter a 6 and a half out of 10 as had one decent 4 inch plus snowfall a few Sundays ago and seen plenty of falling snow aside from that for this neck of the woods. It's been an oddly enjoyable one in that, aside from Christmas and New Year, there seems to have always been something of interest going on in the models even though a fair few "events" failed to come to fruition. Would still prefer that than the endless weeks of dross we had to endure in the 90's and 000's "modern" winters.

Why is everyone talking like it's the end of Winter already ?

We still have 2 weeks left to go and I suspect there's going to be one final roll of the dice at the end of the month

But even then Winter doesn't pack up it's kit, go into the showers and then off to the pub for a drink does it? How about into April for some Wintery looking fun:

Yamkin's snow machine does not disappoint good.gif

In my opinion, the models will go into revamp mode = much colder conditions next week hi.gif

Need to get my Yamkin snow machine oiled laugh.png

UK Outlook for Tuesday 26 Feb 2013 to Tuesday 12 Mar 2013:

Some signs of a colder than average weather type becoming established over the UK for the start of this period. Then, whilst there is, as ever, some uncertainty through this forecast period, generally colder than average conditions are likely to persist across many parts of the UK. Frequent frosty nights are then also expected, and the risk of wintry precipitation is then likely to be slightly greater than average.

Issued at: 1600 on Mon 11 Feb 2013

Interesting further outlook from Met Office
