How do I know? I'm the one asking a question not you. blum.gif

Sorry mate but you need to look at the state of the question you've asked before criticising someone's response to it.

I hope it was down to cold fingers and a small key pad.

Anyway back to Di Oxberry.

A bit quite really.

She dIdn't tell us how lucky we were to have missed the worst of the snow.

She did tell us that it got to 1'c in Manchester today and that tonight could be down to -7'c.

She also said that tomorrow will see less showers and lighter winds and that it will feel slightly warmer.

And for someone who obviously hates the cold and snow she did it without looking to glum.

Heads up guys showers to the east seem to be intensifying a little

Seems to some sort of trough pushing south with showers running along it. Kev has highlighted this a couple of posts up.

.

Do you think us in Liverpool could get any? BTW it has been perishingly cold here today especially for the middle of March - and we had a few flurries of snow before coming home from work on the bus the snow did stick on the ground leaving a dandruff like covering.

Superb wintry day, awoke to an inch cover, shortlived heavy showers all day, biting wind, max of 0 degrees so an ice day and equal coldest of the season, only had à handful of such days this winter. Best aspect of today was the pure undiluted arctic sources air, wonderful clarity. I cant say enough Good things about today, kind of day i long for in depths of winter, comparé it to what we saw at christmas.

Keep an eye on the line of showers to your north, it has been slipping further south and south.

That was a shower before the main trough like feature I think.

Is there a trough involved? looks like a clean feed to me, the band to the North of us is a streamer isn't it?

Looks like a convergence type affair which is slowly slipping south. Not a trough per se but creating the same effect as long as it keeps going.

Got a covering out of it here and it's still coming down lightly.

I must admit it's more than the earlier forecast was showing and will be a pleasant surprise to most in the region.
