You got settling on the road Paul? Not happening here.

Strangely not on the road, but grass is dissappearing!

Should do a south vs north downs- heavy snow showers vs frontal snow in the channel match would be interesting-what's frustrating is that just as it starts to settle everywhere it stops and then melts apart from in the drifts on the roof tops/garden corners which seem to grow with every passing snow shower

Still around 1cm, but that is in a drifted part, less on grass, the blowing around not helping, think the stuff around 45 mins away will assist in depth

What is it about this little bit of NW Kent??We have a very slight covering and have been flurrying but if anything the little snow we have is melting. We seem too far North to get any of Frontal snow that is hitting South of this region and don't seem to be getting effects of Thames Streamers!!This is like January again.Steve M-Will Orpington/Locksbottom get any beefy showers this afternoon or is that snowshield doing its job here??-Goods news only pleaseblum.gif

Gritted roads here in Hastings getting covered rapidly in moderate 'blizzard' stgle snow, nearly two inchs on high ground, pushing an inch on the beach. Awesome stuff. :-)

Just flurries here - very pretty but not amounting to much. Anyone in London with at least 2cm?

Well brilliant wintry conditions here in Godalming, deepest Surrey, all morning. Snow has varied from grains to near blizzard. Mostly lightish though and little has settled. A cm or so in sheltered places.

Oh how to be unlucky in a set up like this, persistent snow showers to the NE of here and some SE of here, coming from the north sea. We are in the dry zone and the sun is out.. While 100 miles to the SE some peristent snow from the channel snow-storm skirting the south coast..

oh well its stopped in central london now and the slight covering we had half an hour ago has now melted. The sun is so strong now that even with just brightening skies any snow lying will just melt. Good to hear all those who are having the heavy stuff tho. Enjoy it while it lasts folks.
