A real slow burner of a day, the only significant action on radar was that cell explosion over Blairgowrie. Really muggy and humid, must be hottest day of the year, still hopeful of something brewing late afternoon..

Fife looks like getting the fun at present..

Looks like the convergence zone is setting up further east than expected, focussing on areas such as Perth, Dundee, Dunfermline and Edinburgh. Hopefully this will move to the left a bit and give some action to us further west. A bit more convection bubbling up around Alloa recently, I saw that shower go up over the Ochils.

Just looking at that now, does seem a little flat though at the moment, lets hope your wish comes true for a westerly shift

Slowly but surely it's all starting to kick off. Fingers crossed for an interesting few hours :)

OTR: That's good going, plenty of washing down here if you're bored later in the week

I can be fairly proficient at words and arrows and things, but haven't used these skills much since uni.

Noticed on the convective thread W09 keeping an eye out on dewpoints, looking favourable at last report.

Shugee that little fella you spotted over Auchterader seems to have got it's skates on in the last 15 minutes.

Patience seems to be today's key word.  Which is fine as it's a public holiday here, and all very relaxed!

Not much in the way of electricity so far....

Clouds really starting to bubble up now. Think I can just about spot the anvil of a cell behind the Ochils.

Watching that one from Edinburgh park ss, certainly the sky is getting darker but too murky to see any structure.

Completely missing us in Perth - not blowing in westerly enough. However, it look like its converging on Embra.

Remember you're high and open up there at Westruther - unplug things. We've had a few direct hits over the years here and they tend to  melt stuff that cost money diablo.gif
