Good morning.

A continuation of sunshine here in Sussex and still a few days more to come I think according to GFS. Tuesday might start to get cloudy and I'm still not convinced about storms for us just yet, but I'll pop something in the convective thread.

I think you should Coast. A few rumbles out there today and maybe they'll even reach Costa del Eastbourne. Posted Image

Yep, just checked GFS (not so good) and NMM (much better) and it may be a better day after all!. I think it might be the IOW Westward and up a far as West London, but see my thoughts in the convective thread - and watch the radar and detectors this morning into the afternoon.

Was lovely to hear the heavy rain this morning. Was expecting to hear some rumbles, but nothing. Looking forward to a warmer weekend as are my veggie seedlings, they've barely grown this year :(.

Off to Staines today sigh.. Shopping with the Mrs

How much do you think you'll get for her then?????

17.6°C out there and not even 9.00am, could be a good one again today - maybe not perfect for some, but OK for most of us.

Some stonking towers going up. One at Henfield and another at Uckfield. Pity we dont't have the same radars that are used for America - we could see what level the clouds are topping at.

One reported strike from the Henfiled cell - but the Sussex cells are losing intensity as the drift north into a more stable environment. The mid-level instability in the Sussex area is really limited to the coastal regions.

Never sure what thread i fit into but im about 7 miles East/NE of portsmouth - skies to my west are very dark, cant see and structure but it just looks like one big stormy mess. Thunder every 5 minutes or so here.

Quick question: are we likely to hit the (24 degrees i think?) temperature that will break the cap it 5000ft without the solar insolation? Given that some are reporting 17 degrees before 9 am.

Ye the uckfield Cell doesn't have a crisp base on it so is just be a garden shower

also getting squally winds as well so possible downburst as cell is dying

You're on the boarder, but always very welcome! Try the convective thread for this one, as it's a bit more specialised:

I'd say we will struggle to 24°C in the coastal zone, London might see 22°C - we just need to see how far North that cell goes

:good:

You clearly have too much time on your hands Posted Image

I found it the other day, I wish I did have more time!
