That is almost exactly where Kaddie indicated where the cloud would be yesterday evening - so perhaps you have been watching forecasts for elsewhere?

Try harder, sarcasm doesn't work on me :)

John can you may the rain vanish please, it my sons 30th birthday next week and 30 for a BBQ on the 15th. He has a small flat and we're not going to fit in it if it rains.

If he'd have been born on time (2nd June) would have been lovely this week, he's been late for everything ever since!

Shame after the run of golden mornings, a dull overcast one appears, but the forecast is fair so lets hope they are correct. Hope you all have a great day, off to Peterborough today to open our new office, should be fun, but got to say I am feeling a little nervous, to go from one office to two is worrying. Oh well too late now.

Morning all,

A bit of a cloudy start here but I'm hoping it will have burned off by the time I go out, it's also less windy so that has to be a good thing especially given that I'm getting my hair done today...second thoughts I'm getting my hair done today so expect strong winds and heavy rain, I do apologise !

Have a nice day anyway Posted Image

Mouse spider :)

Scientific name: Scotophaeus blackwalli

Size:  Head and body 9 to 12 mm long

Distribution:  Found throughout the UK except the north of Scotland

Months seen:  All year but more frequently in summer and autumn

Habitat:  Mostly in houses, sheds and outbuildings.  Sometimes under bark on dead wood

Food:  Flies and other small insects

Special features:  Mouse spiders are so called because their abdomens are covered in silver-grey hair which resembles the fur of a mouse.  The brown legs are relatively thick, and the dark brown head is pear shaped and narrow at the front where the closely grouped eyes are located.

Mouse spiders are are mostly nocturnal and very fast runners.  They catch their prey by stalking, and then pouncing on unsuspecting invertebrates.

To put that spider into perspective, the stone jutting out just in front of it is about the same size as a 10p Posted Image

The Lime Hawk-moth is one of the prettiest hawk-moths in its pink and green livery. The wing pattern is variable. Despite its large size and the name "hawk-moth", it is docile and harmless. Like many large moths, it doesn't even feed, living on the food reserves of the caterpillar.

Hi tadpole will keep my eye on the 15th for you

Thanks JP

I used to look at the BBC daily for forecasts or another weather forum but since I've discovered this forum and your forecasts I look here instead.

You're much more reliable,  and along with everyone else here, much friendlier :)

I used to love watching the Darling Buds on a Sunday evening - even now I catch repeats on ITV3!

Cloud has burned off nicely here on the Southbank and its lovely and warm in the sun - but a tad too warm in our office that doesn't have air conditioning and half the windows have been painted shut over the course of the past 140 odd years!

Hope you all have a nice day and can take the opportunity to get out in this sunshine!
