Yes. That front providing storms over France has pushed that little further north as the FAX charts suggested and is now providing southern coastal counties with some good thunderstorm activity.

Quite a mish mash of activity around the Solent area. Wish I was there.

Superb for Dorset/Hampshire storm lovers.

I guess the storms must be elevated to survive the Channel crossing and it's quite an MCS to view on radar and satellite.

Thundery sky all morning in Warminster with high based convection and AltCas though no rain yet, it is certainly more humid than for quite some time.

The skies are beginning to clear a bit now, some

brightness occurring, maybe that will set off something later?!

Hope so! Can't believe all the activity that was going off and i didn't see one flash!! Only heard thunder in the distance! Typical!

Yes, feels relatively humid but the AT is only 12.1c. Darn chilly for 7th June, although 2012 was similar on occasions.

I thought mine was a little out of kilter too, especially with what Andy said earlier with regard to humidity.

I have checked a few other weather stations around my area including the Met Office one at Filton too and they are all broadly similiar with mine so it appears Bristol is in a "cool" shield today". ;)

Yes, I wouldn't question your accurate readings AWD, it just goes to show the influence these MCS types can have. I have had some rain which barely dampened the ground.

Brilliant morning!! Posted Image Best thunderstorm here for quite some time, loads of lightning & plenty of big rumbles Posted Image Nice to see the Met Office give out a warning after the event Posted Image Seems to have stopped raining here now & is brightening up a bit. Temperature is 13.4C with a DP of 12.9C & humidity is 97% so feels a tad muggy! Overnight minimum was 14.6C.

pretty grotty here at the mo.....alas last nights/this mornings elevated storms are leaving a lot of detritus crud as they decay and fall apart, could well end up being a rather damp day with supressed temps

Right on the edge of everything here this morning.  A few spits and spots about two hours ago, nothing since despite the radar showing us under rain.  Certainly no storms.

Yeovilton showing 15.8C and 63% humidity at 11.00.

Moderate showers here from 10.00 this morning but nothing thundery.

Interesting that Meto Local Forecast online still shows full sun while they issue a rain warning!

Met Office Radar now showing heavy rain in the English Channel Approaches, but will it reach N to Cornwall?

Hmm... no sun although clouds are bright. It's very still and at 17c should we expect a rumble or two?

Afternoon.  Cool and cloudy here to end a glorious week.  Looking to my East/SE out of the window the sky is a bluey grey and has an orangey colour to it in the distance,  are there storms in that direction?

Husband and boys have gone camping this weekend but I’m hoping that the Forest of Dean is too far north for the rain and storms.

I should have kept quiet!  It's now piddling down, big thundery drops, with several rumbles of thunder in the last ten minutes.
