Do we know the anomaly for June, yet? The Met Office still haven't updated since the 27th. I'm on tenterhooks!

Hopefully they will update today with the final corrected figure. (usually, but not always this is around 11:45am)

The uncorrected figure has been published however as 14.0, which would be a -0.2 anomaly.

That's massive, I can't believe I was too high in the end!

Oh well a bit too high in the end! Nevermind, good to get another month below the 61-90 average. Very likely to be the last for now though.

Across East Anglia it was the coolest June since 1995 according to the met office they've really suffered with the easterly wind this year down there

I'm not in an exposed location at all but even so the fine spell at the start of june was mostly cloudy with a cool breeze. I think about 3 or so days got signifigant amounts of sunshine, otherwise the cloud didn't break until early evening most days. (just so it could get cold overnight!).

It was also the 11th month in the last 14 that was below the 1981-2010 average. In this case it was 0.9C below.

In fact every month this year so far has been 0.9C or more below the most recent average.

Jan: 3.5C (-0.9C)

Feb: 3.2C (-1.2C)

Mar: 2.7C (-3.9C)

Apr: 7.5C (-1.0C)

May: 10.4C (-1.3C)

Jun: 13.6C (-0.9C)

Quite an impressive run!

If you look at it from January 2012, then the only above average months against 1981-2010 averages in that period are January 2012, March 2012, August 2012 and December 2012That's 4 out of the last 18.

I thought June would have been at least AVERAGE as opposed to BELOW AVERAGE.

Has the weekend 22/23rd of June dragged it down plus the cool nights?

Demand a recount. 14C from climate UK Sunny Sheffield came in at 14.1C so we need a recount.

Really made a mistake going against my usual method in May, i'd have been winning by quite some way.

Pleased though, just hope we get a cool second half to July.

That's quite some downward correction. The reason must be the Metoffice's global cooling agenda.

Yes is that a 0.4c or 0.5c downward adjustment ? Has there been a larger one ?

I can't find a longer record than this year. unless we sorted through these threads but this year it is the biggest by a fair margin. .

I seem to recall the August 2011 downward correction being something like 0.4C.
