Just me or can you trace a small line of mini storms from Weymouth to Rouen (only 3 or so) ? Is this the first wave coming up ? looking very isolated though..

Cold and mist now gone now hot and sunny and zero convection. Not supposed to kick off until tomorrow morning according this mornings forecast anyway so the present lack of activity doesn't surprise me.

So will we grow any home grown stuff later or will it be one of those many busts we get.

Latest radar confirms there is an MCS In the Making now, The Caen Storm which I believe was Supercellullar a short while ago is now getting ingested by numerous other smaller storms and a Mesoscale Convective System is starting to take shape, Its where this bugger goes that is the question now, other storms are erupting from Elevated Accas closer to the Shores of the Uk now as well.

Getting more interesting as we go through the day now

Apologies if this is a daft question but will this awful low cloud on the East coast affect the chance of any storms in this area? The temp here is now just 16.7C! with fog forming. (It really is miserable!). I understand home grown won't happen in these conditions. Is there a change afoot that will warm up this area?
