Seems like things are kicking off nicely now. Though for here I'd rather things happened a bit further west to offset the slight nne tracks of these showers.

There's now another cell rumbling away to the south west, over the New Forest.

That is a great picture of an Elevated Storm (As i know there were a lot of questions earlier about the difference between Elevated and Surface Based Storms)

I know you don't like storms but I have to be honest and you are in one of the most likely places to see a storm - even more sol than me right now! Edited by Blizzards

Cloud building to north of Alfreton here. What a change in temps from this morning. Fingers cross for tonight

Chris

Thank you, just not seen it set up like that before with winds at 180 degrees alongside each other.

Lots of cells going up in southern areas now, and these are set to move north. Maybe more to develop too through the coming hours.

Got a feeling we are to far west time to get in the car and drive.

Too early yet, things are only just starting to develop.Plus I wouldn't be able to get out of Bristol in the rush hour traffic quick enough.

plenty of discrete cells firing over Wilts/Dorset, Hants and the hants/surry border......still rumbling here, and I believe that this is just the taster of the main action to come overnight from northern france (which hasn't even developed yet!)
