Turned into a nice afternoon again, morning grot gone by noon (why can't it do that in June?) and feeling warm. Close thing as satellite shows mass of grot persisting just 20-30 miles south.

Yes we are stuck under the 'mass of grot' unfortunately. Yesterday we had some sunshine and a breeze, today it's calm, grey and muggy.

Woop glorious again now with cloudless skies and 21.3c Posted Image, ended up a similar afternoon to yesterday in the end, the grot did come close around 2:30-3ish but then all cloud melted away after that.

Seems a lot less humid now than earlier, perfect conditions and hopefully the same tomorrow and Tuesday!

The sun has also felt notably strong for so late in the year, though looking at the UV charts it's declining rapidly this week!

Also can we take the 12z GFS and run with it please.

Just hope it stays away tonight, I like warm weather but last night was uncomfortably humid and muggy, thanks to the cloud that invaded after dark.

Yup last night was definitely one of the warmest September night's I can remember in a while, temperature's were nudging 18c for much of the night with a dewpoint of 16c!

Can't see it being quite as warm tonight as it feels much less humid/fresher than this morning now.

Fingers crossed the grot burns off again tomorrow, GFS has decided to throw a last minute downgrade in so here's hoping it's wrong!

Slightly fresher tonight, 15c.

Oh dear, damp, dark and drizzly this morning at 14c, looks like the grey is a whole mass covering most of the county right now!

To be fair i'm doubtful the gloom will clear today as the wind's are now from the SE meaning places to the West/NW of hills/mountains are most likely to see the fohn/sun effect so i'm guessing the sunny skies today will end up over West Wales and western parts of SW England only.

Charts do look interesting for end of the week/this weekend though with the potential for a late southerly plume & very warm conditions Friday & Saturday providing the north sea muck can get pushed back north enough.

Yep that cloudy muck is refusing to budge. Rare to see so much of the country affected like this imo. Even here in southern Cornwal, its been misty for some time now. We have had some brightness especially on Saturday but it went very foggy last night and this morning.

Could of been a real treat had it been sunny today as it's reached 25c in West Wales, what a waste! these are the conditions I feared the entirety of this spell here so i'm relieved we at least got the sunny afternoon's over the weekend!

Speaking of the charts though i've realised I should only speak negatively now as i've jinxed this week Posted Image the 12z would keep here under the gloom all week and then a damp weekend in contrast to the lovely 20-22c days on last night's runs! so the moaning's officially back Posted Image

Total waste of dry conditions today, no clearance like at the weekend or over W Wales. Am thinking we really shouldnt get grot from the SE at all; its normally a dry direction and its pretty much land all the way to the Alps.

Fog and drizzle all morning. The fog eventually lifted by 1230 g.m.t but it's remained overcast with intermittent light drizzle and the temperature hovering around 13.3c this morning and a degree higher this afternoon.

STILL overcast here but ironically feeling much warmer/more humid than it has all day, 17.5c with a dewpoint not to much lower, unfortunately the most boring month of the year is almost here.

Here's hoping it can give some interesting conditions this year such as:

Thunderstorm's

Wintry weather

Pleasant sunny days

Yuck looks like being another day that promised so much and doesn't deliver a minute of sunshine, dark, grey, misty and no sign of brightness!

Think it should clear for you lot today, very warm sunny here, not sunny a weekend as some state, just a few hours on Sat otherwise it was a cloudy one.
