After spending the last few weeks working-ish in the sunny South-ish of France, Derbyshire throwing a 13c max at me on my return is definitely a shock to the system!

Incredible sunset tonight... due to all the stratus clouds the pinks/reds/oranges spread out right across the sky in ripples, stretching out to the west towards Wales. Took some pics, they're in my gallery, but they don't do it justice. Truly beautiful sight. Lovely day today if a bit breezy. Temp has dropped down to 13.5^oC after reaching a high of around 18.8^oC. Looking forward to a few warm days ahead!

Actually started fairly sunny this morning but cloudzilla's rolled in now from the north west, need that wind to turn south already, 17.3c at the mo.

Pretty cool at 18c today and quite a bit if cloud. Some blue sky but it should be getting in for 22c by now.

Slowly seems to be improving here, been almost overcast for the past 2 hours but more patches of blue sky around now..fingers crossed!

Three very nice days on the trot. Plenty of sun, and today especially, it feels warm even in the breeze. Lovely start to September.

Actually turned into a nice day here for once, the cloud that started to threaten has largely gone. Why couldn't August do this?

Turned increasingly sunny in the end after 1pm thank goodness, gorgeous blue skies the past few hours, maxed around 22.5c in the end! perfect!

 

Hope the GFS is on to something regarding this weekend, can't be dealing with Autumn (UKMO, ECM) just yet!

Oooh I should known, I knew it, my last day to get any sun in and BAM 100% cloudcover with NO sign of breaking up despite even the 06z showing 24c!

Just watch tomorrow and Thursday be cloudless to twist the knife :lol:

Cloudy here too but its the cloud whill burn off quickly. Sat24 shows we are near the edge of it. Sadly for you Conor, no such luck. Tomorrow looks fantastic.

Yep, brightening up quite nicely now. If its some comfort conor, Sat24 shows much of the SE under cloud too.

 

Back to Kernow this Thursday and a brief holiday in Devon too. So hopefully I can get away from any advances that the Shropshire cloud tries to make. :lol:

Just under two hours ago the skies here showed promise but the cloud thicken up and has stayed that way since

 

The way things are going the sun will struggle to show itself today.

Yup still 100% overcast here and typically as clearing skies are now moving through Wales there's an area of cloud erupting north eastwards from the south which will arrive here just in time when this muck clears! typical!

Amazing how it's turned out eventually!!! Very nice here now and 24.4c,..... Around 5 deg's higher than it was 3 hours ago and alot sunnier

Sun eventually broke through around 3:30pm, clear skies now typically ! if only this had happened a few hours earlier, gorgeous at 22.8c !

Foggy as anything out there, has been since 0130- bit early in the Autumn for this methinks? Nice again yesterday, grey muck moved away, and Monday sunnier than any day in August.

Have been very busy past few days so haven't been able to get on here, however yesterday was a very pleasant and warm feeling afternoon, should be more of the same today but not so pretty Friday!

Lovely day here today, no sign of pesky grey cloud such as we had for most of yesterday. No fog at all to report here, most mornings I can see it hanging over the lower ground whilst we are clear!
