Morning all

A grey, cool and breezy start when I left home at 6:15am, but now in the office it is brightening up and the sun is out. I see there is some suggestion of an early Autumn storm early next week, which will no doubt keep us interested in developments over the next few days.

I think I have now accepted that the season has changed and am looking forward to some wild weather, at least for a while!

Morning Abs,

 

A very dark start slowly replaced by a loving phat sunrise and although chilly like many Autumn mornings, the warmth is gradually permeating through the scattered light cloud and it's looking particularly nice for early September.

Got woken up at half 2 in the morning by a big clap of thunder over head, but that was all. Sunshine and showers here at the moment

Dry and bright here ... Looks like we might have picked a good day to be off today which is good lots of out door stuff to get done so hopefully it will stay dry !

That rain looks pushing a lot further west than the models have it...

 

At least the cloud is confined to the East currently (sorry Kentish men, men of Kent and East Anglians!) and the sun over my part of Sussex is working it big time!

The sun has broken through for us Men of Kent. (Dunno whether it has for those Kentish Men, a few miles away on the other side of the river.)

And the temperature has reacted by shooting up to a scorchio 13.6° - feels balmy out there compared to yesterday!

Rolling grey clouds stretch far into the distance, the school windmill is going at some speed, and the blowing trees outside my office have developed a yellowish-brownish hint. Yep, autumn... I have to accept it... is here - it may be my favourite season, but those hot days of summer that ended less than a week ago will still be missed.

 

Not sure about central heating, but the dog in past 48 hours has become very keen indeed on cuddles - beds, sofas, nowhere is safe from a dog seeking very close human companionship; the hamster has similarly stopped hanging out in his 'cool' areas and is back in his usual nesting spot. Can't wait until he builds his super-duper nest - always a sign of cold Posted Image  weather to come. In the meantime perhaps I'll buy the dog a jumper!

Not  expecting any strong winds are we ?? cos my very heavy  patio table umbrella just got ripped out the table and smashed into my patio door. Needs some strength to do that. Crazy.

Afternoon

 

 

well I got soaked yesterday evening going to the shop, out of nowhere a super heavy thunderstorm appeared, soaked to the skin as I had not taken a coat and boy with it a potent storm, several strikes a min and all very close, a few practically overhead.

 

 

Never made it to the shop either, so need to venture out again today instead (checking the radar first this time)

Good to see you again, no interest in summer weather so I have been AWOL for a while!
