Afternoon all. Posted Image

Currently perched on a bar stool in the Toby Carvery in Milton Keynes, enjoying the first pint of the day. I won't sit here all afternoon, as I don't want to fall off the perch later.

I'll see whoever turns up here later. Posted Image

Has been a lovely day so far - with a drop in the wind it's actually very pleasant out indeed!

Can I say "PICTURES!" or have I overstepped the mark?

Not being very good on technical things like that I don't know if I will be able to get them on here, but I will give it a try, if I succeed I am sure you will be able to use them to keep your kids / grand kids etc away from the fire :-).post-2909-0-64163400-1385217143_thumb.jpWhose a clever boy then! Really pleasant day here today. Almost 100% clear skies. Although it's very chilly out there.

Have a great night tonight, for the NW meet up.

Wall to wall sunshine in Brighton today, but a chilly wind swirling around, especially noticeable up on the Downs.  Stunning views to be had, clear air, low sun.  Autumn sliding into winter.

Finally it has been clear and dry for a few hours, wonder if this will last or if cloud or more showers will come along. Been nice to get a look at Venus tonight.

gfs 12z ensembles

again take your pick

i would call fi on the 27th as a big spread even there

certainly call it on the 27th

the main run on the 2nd goes into one

and the control run is ramp heaven Posted Image

the 6th is best ( a 15 degrees spread between the control run and the main gfs run )

best bet is stick to 144 for nowPosted Image

Just for Jax,sorry they are not great photos,post-2909-0-00214600-1385232660_thumb.jppost-2909-0-99367700-1385232679_thumb.jp

Charlton Kerry and Marion getting ready for our normal Saturday night in. No rude comments please, us old hippy's can't grow old gracefully. Must admit to the wife not looking to bad, for an old bird of nearly 60, to be honest she looks better now than, what 36 years ago when we got married.

Ps got no idea why the photo are turned 90 degrees but, that properly how we will look around 11 tonight.

I think the most encouraging signs for cold further down line seems to be the main part of the polar vortex looks like setting up towards Siberia, might just have to wait a little while for the stubborn high to our sw to make its move on Greenland and make us all very happy.

i still reckon the charts are struggling re the solar output

it is weakening now and takes around 7-10 days to notice re the jet stream

this is all assuming it stays quiet

i would not be surprised to see the control run shown as the 18z tonight

got to go out now as microwave has just died

back later

hope everyone is ok
